What is the Scottish Rite?
It is a branch of Freemasonry designed to supplement and amplify the philosophical teachings of the first three degrees of blue lodge Masonry.
How many degree presentations are there in Scottish Rite?
The 29 Scottish Rite degrees (4°-32°) are conferred at 100 locations throughout the jurisdiction. The Supreme Council confers the 33rd degree on a limited number of Scottish Rite Masons annually.
Who participates in the degree presentations?
Candidates witness the presentations. Members may choose to participate in the performances, if they wish.
Is membership expensive?
No. The application fee and annual dues are determined locally.
Does the Scottish Rite require a major commitment of my time?
No. You determine your level of participation.
